Biography - Donna F Clark



Donna Clark is a workplace innovator with 25 years of experience in the public and private sectors in advisory and senior management positions. She has worked in the areas of economic development, federal/provincial relations, and environmental conservation. Since 1995 Donna Clark has been a partner in Carmody, Clark & Associates, Halifax, Nova Scotia. She is committed to developing the capacity of individuals to connect to each other with courage and compassion to collectively create life nurturing organizations and communities.

She serves as facilitator, mediator, coach and organizational advisor and has supported public and private sector clients in the areas of leadership development, team/community building, communication and interpersonal processes, and organizational transformation. Her volunteer work has included mediating restorative justice forums for victims and youth offenders. She has degrees in science, business and education, and is a Registered Practitioner in Alternative Dispute Resolution with the Canadian International Institute of Applied Negotiation, a Certified Management Consultant, a Master Practitioner of NLP, and a WEL-Systems® facilitator and a member of the ADR Atlantic Institute. Since 1999 Donna has been facilitating Open Space Technology meetings and working regularly with Whole Person Process Facilitation. She is a trainer in the Genuine Contact™ program.

Donna also serves as a facilitator and coach at the Dalhousie University Negotiation and Conflict Management Programme and facilitates several leadership development programs for the Canadian government's Canada School of Public Service. Donna is married and a mother of three children. Her life is enriched by singing and spending time in nature.

bulletDonna was the Manager of a workplace team from Environment Canada nominated for a 1995 Institute of Public Administration Award for Innovative Management and also a recipient of a Management Award for the high level of staff participation in a restructuring.

bulletSelected as a participant in the 1983 Governor General's Canadian Study Conference and participated in organizing and selection committees for several subsequent conferences.

bullet Donna sings with a trio called The TrebleMakers who recorded a CD called Flying Free in 2002. She has been involved in several choirs and choruses including with the Scotianaires, a Dartmouth Nova Scotia based women's barbershop chorus, who won second place in the chorus competition at the International Convention of Harmony, Inc. in 1991.
